What the error means, and how to fix it.
Why this happens
A Motion Graphics Template (.mogrt) is a package built by After Effects or Premiere Pro that bundles the design along with version metadata from whichever app created it. When you try to install or import it through the Essential Graphics panel, Premiere Pro checks that metadata first. If the template was built in a newer version than the one you're running, you'll see "not compatible with this version" or "file format not supported" — even though the design itself would render just fine.
Fix 1: Re-export from the original app
If you (or whoever built the template) have access to the After Effects or Premiere Pro version it was created in, re-exporting the MOGRT isn't possible on a lower version directly — but opening the source project in that same version and exporting fresh at least confirms what changed.
Fix 2: Use an online MOGRT downgrader
